Photo taken by Pilot MKN in 2012 and posted on Flikr. So - the post title of course is a reminder that this is supposed to be in essence my research journal. I have been working with a (diminishing) group on a project to assess whether physical activity in rural communities increases as the result of a newly available rails-to-trails facility. The pretest or baseline data collection took place last fall. The trail was supposed to open in spring - no later than April.

I am teaching an abbreviated "intersession" class that meets for 3.5 hrs each weekday. I have material for this class although it needed to be both updated (this is health; I try to incorporate the newest research) and reformatted for this longer class time.
Needless to say, I have fallen behind on some of my research projects and also fallen behind in updating this log or the ongoing adventures of Qualitative Ninja Girl - who is about to confront an old enemy. I expect to get back to the (more) normal flow of things in the next few days; also will be posting some updated information about my dissertation efforts soon. And, what about the meta-synthesis (mini) project? I need to get going on that as well. I do have faith in my ability to work through the things I have planned, just never as quickly as I would like. |
